About Me
I work with traditional and contemporary art-making methods to process observations and questions I have about the human and non-human relationship.

Geology, ecocriticism theory, digital nature, and mechanical errors inspire my compositions. I am interested in imagining a visual culture from non-human perspectives in order to put our current anthropocentric ecology into question.

In the studio, I work with an array of materials and techniques such as weaving, embroidery, quilting, tufting, ceramics, welding, video, 3D modeling and animation, photography, and print-making. With different materials and techniques I feel free to explore analyzing the corresponding conditions and histories of both humans and nonhumans in a time of social and ecological unrest.

How has culture managed to build an ecological inequality between humans and non-human bodies? Is this reversible? Why does that mountain look so damn good?

I am currently based in USA and Germany. I received my BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City in 2014. I graduated from the Art Academy Leipzig (HGB) with a Diplom Degree in New Media: Installation and Space with Prof. Joachim Blank in February 2020 with honorable distinction. Since 2015, I have exhibited my works internationally in Germany, USA, Asia, and the Middle East with solo and two-person exhibtions in Beirut, Leipzig, and California. I have been published in several magazines, won 5th place in a student international art prize in 2017, and received the DENKZEIT stipend from the Kulturfoundation of Saxony in 2020. Between 2019 and 2021 I was a core member of the MODS International Collective. Since 2021, I organize Contemporary L.A.R.D., an international monthly meeting group for artists and an executive chair of Kombinat Association.
